PSD1E - Computer Programming
This module introduces students to computer programming using the popular
Microsoft Visual Basic package. Typical exploratory topic areas include:
Taking input from the user, adding controls and menus, and handling sound
files.
PSD2E - Computer Applications
Based on an interactive computer applications unit, this module shows
students how the PC can be used to control devices in the outside world.
Typical exploratory topic areas include: Main computer components, programming,
and computer networking.
PSD3E - Computer Aided Publishing
This module shows students the effective use of desktop publishing (DTP)
and how to use Microsoft Publisher to create a range of printed items.
Typical exploratory topic areas include: Combining text and graphics,
printing methods, and greetings card design using a computer.
PSD4E - Web Page Design
This module will provide students with the skills needed to create HTML
web pages using a graphical web page editor. Typical exploratory topic
areas include: Formatting text and images, creating and editing hyperlinks,
and using navigation tools.
